I'm using the HMC 3.5 sample CP and it has satisfied our needs and generally allows us to manage our system as much as we need to.
However, I have just created a new organisation and configured for Exchange Hosting.
Upon creating this organisation it hasn't created any of the Org AL, Org GAL or Org OAL. Because of this, when I try to connect using Outlook (locally or via RPC+HTTP) I get a 'Bookmark is not valid" error.
I have created a couple of companies now and I get the same issue.
Is it possible, either via provtest or manually to create these addresslists and how?
I have tried to create manually with ESM and ADSIEDIT, but it doesn't appear to be quite correct, and if I edit any of the user accounts they are then defaulted to the 'Default GAL' and can see all users.
The same happens if I create any new users using the MPS CP.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I've since found out that it would appear that the HEOABUpdate tool was no longer running, I've managed to get this running again and it now automatically creates the address lists as required.(hadn'ty run for several months, apparently the previous
admin was updating it manually somehow, not sure as they are no longer here.
I am now having some strange problems with Outlook connecting, but may have fixed that.
Sorry for the silly post but was banging head against wall for this.

God knows what's going on.
It's no longer creating the address lists. The HEOABUpdate tool is running, and if I view the heoabupdate logs (shown here) I get an error stating that the OAB Update process has been skipped for the organisation because there are no offline address lists
for the organisation.
Any ideas why my address list isn't getting created? (p.s. I am using MAPI mail plans & MAPI enabled users, have switched, reverted, deleted recreated organisations with the aim of getting this resolved all to no avail)

1. Make sure that OAB for TestCompany exists.
2. Check HEOABUpdate account permissions. See
http://go-planet.com/community/files/folders/207/download.aspx for details.

The HEOABUpdate account is a member of both those groups already, and it works fine in updating the OAB for OAB's that already exist.
I think I may however have lead you the wrong way with my post as I don't even get the Address List created, it's as if I have no MAPI users in that organisation plan. As I understand it, MPS doesn't create the address lists until you have at least one
mailbox assigned a premium or MAPI account. I have moved the account into basic (non-MAPI) plans and reverted back many times to know improvement.
If I look in ESM > Recipients > All Address Lists there is no Addrsss list for my company 'TestCompany'
Is there a way to either programatically through the use of an XML file or manually create the Address List for the users to use? Or any other ideas why it doesn't create the addres list in the first place

As an update to this, I can see that there is a procedure HostedExchange::CreateAddressLists but I'm not sure how to use this procedure.
If you have any pointers I'd appreciate it.
I have created an XML script as follows
<execute namespace="Hosted Exchange" procedure="CreateOrganizationAddressLists" impersonate="1">
<after source="executeData" destination="data" mode="merge"/>
And this has created my address lists as required, and now I can create an OAB, so that's nice.
However, now when I logon to Outlook to connect to a mailbox hosted by this organisation I'm getting told that I'm not allowed to run Outlook. It would appear that somewhere along the line, HMC/MPS is not setting my account MAPI access, hence not creating
Newly created users are working fine, so for now I guess I'll just delete those I had created. Any ideas why this might happen?

Mailbox exchange hosting plan settings?

It sounds like it eh, but once the address list is created all new users work correctly, can use MAPI plans, Outlook and everything else, quota's get applied as defined etc.

So, use MPF TraceView to check why AL/GAL is not created together with the first MAPI user in the organization.

I'll try to find a copy of the MPS resource kit, install it and look at this, hopefully that'll guide me to finding the reason for this. As it stands, I have removed the urgency through the provtest method but do indeed need to find an answer. Will update
in a few days or so, I hope

I'll try to find a copy of the MPS resource kit
It is on HMC media, in \Service Provisioning\MPS\MPF\mpfreskit\ directory.
