I am working with the basic CSS friendly menu and I have 5 items. The only alterations I have made to the css file are to set the width of the top level <li> and the width of the outer most <ul> to make the menu wrap onto a second line see image
When I roll over the Woodturning link the sub menu pops down, but it does so BEHIND the Contact menu item, see image 2. (There are four items in the sub menu but the top one is hidden by Contact.)
I would obviously like the sub menu to appear over the top of the contact link.
I am hoping that one of you CSS gurus can help me out! I'm sure this is probably not that difficult but I have tried a bunch of things and have had no success. I have tried playing with all of the z-indexes with no luck. I am thinking this has to do with
the positioning attribute of the different elements. The top level <li>'s are floated and I read that floated items can overlap other content. I don't understand the position attribute and it's use or relationship with other elements on the page well enough
to come up with a solution.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
