hello to all..
i am doing my internship in a ministry here .. for my sample applications development i use my own laptop but i am connected to the ministry's network and limitations..
when i try to run my applications or ready sample applications i am returned such an error :
and then i click on "Diagnose Connection Problems" and it tells me that :
localhost is not set up to establish a connection on port "xxxxx" with this computer..
how can i get rid of this problem ..?
my OS is Vista Business SP1.. and i am running Visual Studio 2008..
thank you all..

It may be because you are trying to debug the application and Visual studio is using a port that the firewall is blocking. Visual Studio selects a port at random so you need to make sure your IP (if its a fixed address) is allowed for all ports. or copy
the my sample applications to your own computer.

i closed all firewalls .. both windows firewall and my antivirus firewall .. but the same problem continues.. anyway all the sample applications are on my own computer.. and even i disconnect from the ministry network the same problem continues..

check the Lan setting in internet Explorer, under tools , internet options, connections - make sure you have not got a proxy set up.
