Can anyone recommend a good hosting provider other than Ultima? I need something for my personal web site, so I don't need anything big and expensive. Just somewhere that'll give me asp.net and sql server2005, and host my email. I've got several clients
hosted with them as well, and if all goes well after a switch, I'll probably move those clients as well.
I'm growing tired of Ultima fast. They used to be awesome, but lately they have been anything but. My web site has been down for over a day now, and I've submitted 2 support tickets and posted on their forums and I've haven't gotten a single response from
them. Their service used to be great, but lately it's just terrible. What if one of my client's web sites go down, and I don't hear anything from ultima for over a day? My clients won't stand for 24 hours of down time (and frankly they shouldn't). Also, my
site seems to take FOREVER to load the first time I visit it each day.
So, if anyone can recommend a good alternative, I'd like to know, so I can try them out.

I personally concerned with the situation that you had with your current host and this should not happen in a professional hosting business. I had 3 sites (all three different sites with different requirements, traffics and setup) hosted at
asphostcentral.com for 6 months already and up until now, I do not had any problems. The server is fast, uptime is excellent and the service is outstanding.
At the meantime, I am still discussing with them about the possibility to optimize my sites and databases so that they can run even faster. They had provided alternatives and I am still considering it. If you just want to host your asp.net and mssql 2005, I
do believe that you can go with them...:)
Hope this helps....

I will suggest you
softsyshosting.com if you are not looking for anything more expensive. They are also having the latest Windows 2008 and IIS 7 hosting plans at
this URL if you need it. I am sure, you will be more than happy with them :)

I would recommend http://www.godaddy.com hosting service. I am having their hosting for long time but I didn't get any downtime. One more site
http://www.negox.com but their SQL Server 2005 has some problem.

If you have clients you should look for good ASP.NET Reseller Host. In this case you will receive a discount from each hosting package.

I agree, Go with www.resellerchoice.com for windows reseller hosting, or multi domain accounts.
I think they have the same control panel as ultima but you should get the level of service you need from them.
Best of luck.
