Can anyone help me with a DBNull value check. I wrote the below code to check to see if a field is blank in an access database and based on that information set a session object for use in another query. It works fine as long as SUPER1 is not null but if
it is, I get an error stating that return vaule DBNull cannot be converted to a string. Is there a way to convert a DBNull value to something usable to do what I'm trying to do or is there a better way?
Dim nullChk As New OleDbCommand("Select SUPER1 from TRAINING where CLASS = '" & qryID & "'", Conn)

instead of CStr(nullChk.ExecuteScalar())
