I've been looking through the web deployment projects for a few hours now, Want I want to do is add a deployment project to our websites and have TFS deploy the build's automatically to locations on our test servers.
For both the Debug and the Release modes of our site I've set the OutputPath to a shared folder on our test server, when I build the project locally the files are deployed to the correct location. However when it is built within TFS the site is deployed
to a folder called \(BUILDNAME)_20080716.14\Release\_PublishedWebsites\(PROJECTNAME) and nothing is pushed to our test servers.
Does anyone have an idea what I'm missing? Thought it would be straight forward but there is a supprisingly small amount of information around about trying to do this.
Thanks for any pointers

When we use Team Build, the "OutDir " property is used, instead of "OutputPath".
To resolve this, you can try to set the "OutDir " property in web deployment project file.
For more information, see
You also can do a build task to copy web deployment to location you want after building. For more information, see
I look forward to receiving your test results.
