I have started work on an existing project that uses Forms based authentication. The user name and password details are checked against the active directory (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998360.aspx)
using this approach.
After authentication, user is sent to default page where he/she can browse other pages.
I am having a master page, where I added a logout button and code behind for that button click is:
<forms name=".ADAuthCookie" timeout=”10” loginUrl="Login.aspx" />
<allow users="*" />
<deny users="?" />
But a problem is : after sign out, user can still go back by pressing back page button and browse other pages and menus.

In your .aspx page write
This will disable your browser back button.

I am already doing this. what i am looking for is that if the user click the backbutton even after signout, it takes him/her to the previous screen, instaed of asking for relogin.

When the user is unable to go back after sign out give a message on the login screen that he has logged out so login again.
Hope this helps you. If any post helps you please click Mark as Answer.
