I have an application developed in VS .Net 2003 and .net framework 1.1. Can i access this application and make any changes in Visual Studio 2005 and .Net framework 1.1? How about VS 2005 and .Net framework 2.0 or later (i understand this is not possible
from google search and earlier question i asked in this forum but just want to confirm it).
In any case, i am trying emulate the initial environment that this application was developed in (VS 2003 and 1.1) and am trying to download VS .NET 2003 but i can only find the service pack, is it discontinued? Thank you for your help.

Yes, it's true about VS 2005. Try with VS 2008.

As an MSDN subscriber, you can download Visual Studio 2003 - please contact your nearest Microsoft Reseller. If you got your current version of Visual Studio via a select agreement then you should be able to get VS2003 as a downgrade.

Thanks for the replies. I am not sure where i could change the framework when i open .net 1.1/VS 2003 project in VS 2005? All google searches show how to change that for VS 2008. It automatically starts the migration wizard when i open the .net 1.1/VS 2003
In any case, i tried to converting the project in VS 2005 but it had a lot of errors.

Hi, i have a source codes written in VB.NET 2002. How do i get this software or any applicable one to open the source codes?

You will need to get a subscription to MSDN Premium Pro - you then can download an old version of Visual Studio. Of course you might be able to buy a legal copy of VS2002 complete with licence.

I have just gone onto my MSDN Premium. I can see Visual Studio.NEt is available for download, once I had dropped down the Edition DDL to All!
