I have an app developed with .net 3.5 with a lot of ajax updatepanels and ajax toolkit controls etc..
I want to subscribe to a hosting company like discountasp.net but they offer both servers: (2003 and IIS6) and (2008 & IIS&)
I know nothng about that butknow I want least problems.
Which is the best option to go for?

If you are not taking advantage of any of the new IIS7 features I would go for IIS6.

ok I just read Scott Gu's Blog on the subject and quite interesting.
but what are the downfalls if I go spend $250 for 2008 & IIS7 hosting without knowing? is all running smooth garanteed?

What are your problems, most ASP.NET hosting providers offer money back guarantee, so if you have any trouble you will change the hosting plan or the provider. Also it's a little strange, that you have built a web site, but you are not sure what technology

thank you for the info about hosting providers giving refunds so easyly. I ll know who to call in case of any problem.
Also I just developed an app with Visual Studio and have never deployedit yet. Is that so strange? But i did say in my original post that it used asp.net 3.5 and ajax... and maybe also sql server express. hows that for technology used by my app?
