I've spent considerable time trying to get the ASP.NET Personal Website Starter Kit working. I've been plagued by problems such as not advancing to the next photo, not showing that I'm logged in immediately after I login, and some pages that would not display
correctly or at all. I searched for hours on Google and found people having problems with this starter kit like the photo-related stored procedures had not been created, or complaints about it not accepting their password format, but it appears no one has
complained about the problems I'm seeing. And I found a dozen or so sites based on this starter kit and they all seemed to work fine.
Then, last night, after considerable time, I decided to change the OutputCache value from 60 to 1 and that page started working as expected.
On the one hand, this makes perfect sense. It was not advancing to the next photo because it was simply returning the previous page, which was cached. But how did this ever work in the first place? And why does it appear to work for everyone except me?
