Is it ok to use a handler instead of a webform for simple requests that return things like my rss feed? I don't need any of the overhead that might come with a webform because I read the information from the database and just a response.write. I'd like to
direct the user right to the handler like /rss/MyHandler.ashx instead of /rss/MyForm.aspx.
Also, am I right in assuming that the overhead is actually less for a handler than it is for a webform?

you can use ashx to write your own handler which processes the request and returns the output ,
you need not use webform because there is separate handler which processes the aspx pages and returns the response which become
unnecessay overhead in your case.
you are right in saying that.
