Hello, I have a custom file viewer control. And I have functions DeleteDirectory, DeleteFile, RenameDirectory, RenameFile. And I have two classes: FileViewer, and SecureFileViewer, in which :
SecureFileViewer : FileViewer, SecureFileViewere inherits FileViewer. And also all of these four functions are ONLY within FileViewer.
So DeleteFile calls:
And they are both using ajax callbacks to delete file and delete directory. But the weird thing, is that when I call delete on a directory, or MoveTo ( which I use for renaming ), the files are fine, but the directories cause my session memory to be deleted!
I have found that it is NOT the case in the original FileViewer class, and the functions aren't even in SecureFileViewer! If this isn't a serious bug then I don't know what is. Any help would be appreciated. Nathan

In asp.net 2.0 if you delete a directory in the web application it restarts the app domain

Thats unacceptable, can't I tell it to not do that with certain directories? This is a huge unwanted penalty feature.

You can always configure it to write your content in a folder that is separate from the root web application folder
