Reading your post, I assume you are talking about authentication (i.e. the process confirming your identity is true).
Authorization on the other hand deals with allowing access to resources depending on your role. This can be very confusing, I know, but it's good to have a clear definition these concepts as they do differ.
As to how you set up authentication with IIS and Active Directory, it is very easy. Start IIS manager and open properties for your web. Click on Directory Security tab. Click on Edit authentication button. Uncheck anonymous access and put a check next to
integrated Windows authentication. Done!
This is all you have to do to get Windows/Active Directory authentication for your web app. If you need authorization to resources depending on your role, you need to handle this separately. Good luck!
