Hi, I am working with an Access DB and am trying to connect to the database, my connection string is:
I have also tried:
both of these providers errors with:
The 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.
I am running this on Vista, when I run the page from Visual Web Dev the page loads but when I run from browser it errors with the above, is there something I need to set on IIS (running version 7) does anyone know how I can work with this provider without the
errror coming up?

You need to Download and install those providers. also see

hi I looked at this site I could not find a download for vista for the OLEDB MS Access provider!,

That link was to make sure that your connection string is in right format which was published on that site
you can google it download oledb provider for MS access

There is no 64 bit version of the Jet provider. Nor, apparently, will there ever be. Read this:

hi, I read article suggesting to modify the application pool 32-bit app support, I did this still no luck! I wonder if there is another way to work with Jet OLEDB provider on x64 Vista?
