In attempting to convert a large Intranet site from VS 2003, the conversion chokes on the "intranet1.csproj" file. The sln file is converted but the system conversion report indicates that the IntranetApp1.csproj file "does not exist" (which it certainly
We have updated VS 2005 with SP1 and followed the steps outlined in the conversion instructions.
The conversion report is not helpful in that it suggests no direction to take.
The site cannot go forward to VS 2005 and cannot go back to VS 2003 because the sln file was changed.
Anyone have a suggestion?

Did you backup your Visual Studio 2003 project? In your case, you can try to open this project using Visual Studio 2005 by
File->Open Project -> Select your .csproj file, and then add new solution file for your project while compiling.

Thank you for your quick response.
When this approach is tried the wizard reports that the *cs.proj file cannot be converted. The log simply says that the file cannot be found. So the problem is somewhere within the proj file and we are interested if anyone else has received this message.

If we open your solution that you want to upgrade with Visual Studio 2003, can we open it correctly? Please make sure that the VS solution file has a reference to the web location for the project and the virtual directory points to the location of your website
