The attributes are set by the prov-system when i call the webservice method "CreateMailbox" of the "HostedExchange" namespace.
After i make the call, i can see that the AD user object gets an email property set, but the object does not get the exchange tab in its properti window ( see picture beneath )
i do not have any other problems with the ad attributes, and I am using the HMC 3.5
Thank you for trying to help. Hope that you can help me out ....

You are mixing up "exchange attributes" and UI that displays these attributes ("exchange tab"). Want to see "exchange attributes"? - Use ADSIEdit or ldp.exe. Want to see "exchange tab"? - Install Exchange 2003 management tools, or use any Exchange server.

LOL, AD environment Does not show exchange attributes. if u want to c those attributes, do as DmitriG said.
ADSI is lil complex, i recommend exchange management console. u shud hav it installed on servers with any of these roles: mb (mailbox), CS (client Access), UM (Unified Messaging), HUB or MT (management tools only). just c program files at start menu.
