I have a new deploymsnt of HMC 4.0 in a test lab and want to add web and data hosting to it. I have found that the program files in MPS01 do not include
<installdir>:\Program Files\Microsoft Hosting\Provisioning\Samples\ManagedWebHosting\ConfigureWebServerForDelegation.xml.
Do I need to upgrade the MPS engine from HMC 4.0 version to WBH 4.5 version and/or is there a white paper or procedure to add WBH 4.5 to an existing HMC 4.0 deployment?

Well, I decided to start with deployment of webhosting from MPS deployment tool and work from there. I found it installed managed web hosting into provisioning samples.

HI My understanding is that you need to manually import the namespaces etc into the HMC 4 MPS engine mnaually.
Please be aware that the namespaces for web hosting etc released with HMC 4 use the old database structure so it will expect to use some tables and databases etc that don't exits on the HMC 4 databases. You can modify these to point to the correct db's.
What are you wanting to pull out of WBH 4.5 ?
