I'm doing a review of AD user accounts. I've got a list of all users and their details e.g. last logon time, password expiration date etc.
The setting that is confusing me however is out of 2500 users being reviewed 1500 are appearing as having "No" password required.
I have tested this and the accounts do require passwords for logon and can't set a blank password due to "complexity settings".
What I presume is happening is that other settings are taking priority over this setting and not allowing it. If anyone has a better explanation for how this could be i'd be very grateful.

It is perfectly possible to have this flag set, and then to have it overridden by security policies. But I admit it's kind of confusing.
