I have winxp pro and can start the IIS 5.1 and have asp.net1.1
I start vb2003 and create a asp app but i get an error where it cant write to temp file as i dont have write access to a temp file . i tested with some controls ona form but agai i have run into problems.
The instructions say goto exporer and right click the file and hit security tab which 'ISNT THERE' and now what?

ok i can get the security tab working but it still fails with same error cannot get access to path for temp file.i seem to have a user/crrster/system/admin group to change access with ?which one?

Please kindly post the whole error message. From your description, I can understand that you encounter permission issue, but when do you encounter it? It’s occurred when create a web application or debug the web application?
If this issue occurred when creating a web application, please ensure to login Windows with the Administrative account. If the current Windows account is not in the Administrators group, please refer to the following link:
