We have received a request from a client to add Wed Single Sign On using SAML 1.1 to our asp.net application.
The scenario they wish to support is to send a SAML 1.1 assertion via HTTP Post to our application which would then process the assertion and log the user into our application.
The current solution we are looking at is to use a third party solution which would consume the SAML assertion and forward the user credentials to our application which would then log the user into the appliction automatically using these credentials.
I do not believe that ADFS can support this scenario to consume the SAML assertion but if someone could confirm this I would appreciate it?
