(ASP.Net 2.0/ SQL Server 2005 Express) I would like to synch the users, passwords and user group names from active directory. so that managing the users names/ passwords/ groups will only be done on active directory (including removing/ updating users).
no specific need to update or even hold this data on the SQL database.
1. How can I update this data on continues way, and will it consume resources/ make login to be slow?
2. Would you better recommend to update the data on scheduled basis (daily or such)?
3. Should the users/ passwords and their groups saved on the SQL at all?
4. Newbie- Would really appreciate some links to tutorials with codes on them / if you can send sample codes regarding this.

To start with you need to work with the directoryServices object. The following links are a good start. I learned a lot from DirectoryProgramming.net .
We have a very large AD structure, I dump this every AM to a SQL Db: users and groups also and query the SQL data for our web site. Works well for us. You might want to check from your infrastructure group about rights/permissions/service accounts and need
to update AD continuously.

DirectoryProgramming..net is really a great site. There are some working code snippets. You can try reading about the DirectorySearcher and DirectoryEntry in MSDN. I have a sample code snippet in this post:
There is equivalent VB code also in the above post.
I started off with a console program that helped me understand properties/methods/ADattributes ...
