We have HMC 3.5 with MPS, Exchange 2003
We have several customers and one want to use a public folder to receive e-mails. This is not a problem. I created a public folder and have e-mail enabled it. The public folder can receive e-mails.
Now the users want to be able to send e-mails with from=e-mail of public folder. I set the permissions on the public folder to Send As for all user.
The publicfolder is not visible on the Addresslist therefore a user can not choose it on outlook as "send From".
Who can I solve this?
Thanks for feedback

To make PF visible in address book, you have to populate showInAddressBook atribute of the PF object in AD with DNs of the organization's AL and GAL.

How can I do that? On AD I d'ont see the public folders I see them only in Exchange Console under "First Administrative Group" "public Folders" and there I can check or uncheck "Hide from Exchange addresslists" but they already are unchecked.
Thanks for more help

You have to use ADSIEdit to modify showInAddressBook attribute for PF object in AD. Attribute must be populated with DN's of the desired AL/GAL (it has been discussed on these forums many times). PF objects can be found in container CN=Microsoft Exchange

I have found the attribute mentioned and set the value as DN of my desired AL. Then I have wait until next day, but I still cannot see the Public Folder in the AL or OAB on Outlook.
Are there more things to do ...

Since you did it behind HMC back, it didn't generate provisioning event in DB. As a result it didn't trigger OAB rebuild. Try to rebuild OAB manually, from GUI.
