I converted a website from 2003 to 2005, here is my problem. I am coming up with errors for every control on my form. The errors are the same, they say:
Name 'txtControl' is not declared.
What went wrong? I converted, the site, recomiled the solution, and now my vb code will not work with my forms.

Soory Jeev for the delay, I fixed my problem, but i do not remember exactly how. Basically I converted a 2003 project to a 2005 web project. Came up with conversion problems, such as this, and I have been tackling everyone of them the best i can. All that
reamins on my conversion is that i have 2 ASPX files that are coming up with
'EventArgs' is ambiguous in the namespace 'System'.
I know this is because of a duplicate namespace or reference, but I wil be danged if I can't find the problem. The website still copiles and I can deploy it, but this is an annoying error.

You are right.. its a name space problem.Try using the fully qualified name . Post your code in case you are still having problems

with the users name that updated the record within the data grid. The design is so that a user can go throught he entire datagrid, and then at the end, press a button to update the data. The update works except when the program checks the user ID textbox,
it is still the old value, not what is shown on the screen. In short, the userid in the text box is not posting back. It did work in VS 2003, but with the upgrade, the same code does not work.
I know this should be a new post, I am just venting at the problems that are involved with upgrading to the next version. I wonder what 2008 has in store for me.....

I figured out my problem. I removes the readonly = true tag from the text box and this allows it to post back to the server.
