I'm placing my own images in this site, but they end up looking very ugly once I run the debugger. These jpg files look fine when viewing from my pc or just creating a link to open in a new browser. Why are they deteriorating once I place them in the site?
Is there a way to set the resolution?

are you setting the size on the image? If so it may be shrinking the images down and distorting them. Go to the image control or image you're using to put the image on the page and take any width and height settings off to see if they display without the
degradation in picture quality.

I figured it out. I was setting the size for example to 250x250 but the image was a different size. Used photoshop to produce the image at the same size 250x250 and it worked out fine. I guess everyone knows this, but I didn't until today. (lol) Still learning
the rules of web design.
