I converted a web project from VS 2003 / .NET 1.1 to VS 2008 / .NET 3.5. I'm getting an error when this line of code executes:
The error text is as follows:
System.Resources.MissingManifestResourceException was unhandled by user code
Message="Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "MyApp.AppName.WebUI.Financial.resources" was correctly embedded or linked into assembly "MyApp.AppName.WebUI" at compile time, or that all the
satellite assemblies required are loadable and fully signed."
I have a resource file called Financial.en-US.resx in my solution. What is the deal with the .resources extension specified in the error message? What can I do to fix this error?

The links above are helpful for WinForms apps, but not web applications. I noticed that there is a resources tab in Visual Studio 2008 when you select the properties of web project. It told me that there was no default resource file. I just created one
and it still doesn't work. What file name does the default resources get stored under? Could this be the key to solving this resource problem?

I too have the same problem. This is in Silverlight.
Edit: OK, in mine I just had a copy/paste bug.
I had this
rm = new ResourceManager("SilverlightApplication.StringLibrary", Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly());
rm = new ResourceManager("SilverlightApplication1.StringLibrary", Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly());
Works OK now. [:$]
