WHen I open the club starter kit and click "source" I get the error: "The Master Page file "C"\Downloads\ASPNET\Express_(VB)\~Default.master cannot be loaded. Correct the problem in code view."
I also noticed that this starter kit doesn't have a ".msi" file to load up the Visual Web Developer Express templates with. Is there something I need to do to get this kit 'registered' with VWD express so i can use it? I seem to get some sort of 'registration'
error when i try to run it - something about "MachineToApplication."
I'm new to this, so am without a clue as to were to begin.

You don't need VWD templates... they don't really do much for you other than copy the site arround. But you can do that yourself a lot easier.
As far as the masterpage thing goes, do you have any errors in the site? Maybe you can take a screenshot for me so I can see what it says.

Hi Zack, thanks for your response. I am enclosing the error message, but I think a bigger problem might be that it doesn't look like the databases are being created. I still have 2 .sql files in the Apps_Data folder. Do i need to create the databases manually?
and if so, how?

You should have the ClubDB.mdf in the apps_data directory. Did you try to unzip the app again? I am running the Visual Web Dev. 2008 express edition. It is a free download.
Let me know about the db.
