About a year ago I started up a website which helps connect home owners to workers (http://www.workbidder.co.uk). I'm just at the point now where I will start charging workers on the site a fee.
The site has been successful and I'm shortly going about getting funding for it also.
I'm looking for a highly skilled UK developer (preferably around the London area but am open to places further away providing there is good communication) who can be a lead developer for the project.
Up until now I have outsourced the work successfully but right now time is critical and I need someone I can depend upon to get new aspects of the site rolled out. My outsourced work has been second priority to the worker as they are already occupied with
a permanent position and I need someone who can make it their desire to finish each aspect of the project with enthusiasm.
The site uses asp.net 2.0 (c#) and SQL Server 2005 and uses a nifty although sometimes rather annoying CMS called Sprocket (http://code.google.com/p/sprocketcms/).
If you are a designer too then that would be a bonus, however I know from my experience that's a hard one.
If this all sounds like you and you'd like to get involved please send me across your CV and a little about yourself and what you'd like out of the project. Please contact me initially via the WorkBidder website via the Contact form.
This is not a site for the faint-hearted, there's lots of work to be done but certainly the future of this start-up is looking bright in a market where a lot of profit can be made.
