I am new to using the Enterprise library. How to log and send e-mail alerts when an exception is caught?
Is it possible to log the exceptions in a log file differently and also log and send e-mail alerts when an exception is caught?
what are the advantages are disadvantages of using both these logging?

It is better just to log to event log. You should think of a separate application to read the event log and send out appropriate emails. I use the word appropriate as the email should only be sent once in a certain period to draw attention to the event log.
Remember the error message that occurs once in testing may be generated hundreds of times per hour in live and you do not want to swamp your email inbox.

Thank you very much for the reply.
Is it possible to provide the email logging for critical errors alone? How to use the E-mail logging?
