Hi all, I have developed my web application within my network so my ADconnectionstring works fine connecting to AD when checking for login authenication. Now, I'm having problem connecting to AD because I have tested my application in the separate network.
Anything in general that I need to check for the ADconnectionstring or something else? Thanks in advance!
The error that I'm getting is: Configuration Error: Unable to establish secure connection with the server.
Thank you so much for your help

Believe you're on forms based authentication with the AD. It works only in a full trust. So if you're having a one way trust on the two networks then it won't work.

Thanks for the reply! So how do I do the two way trust?

This is something you'll need to check with your network administrator. However, I believe there must be some security reasons why you only have 1 way trust between the two networks.
Alternatively, if you can publish your codes to a server on the other domain then you can proabably test your codes from there. I'm doing it this way in my test environment.

Thanks for your reply, Jovenatheart! I'm actually testing my code from other domain but it doesn't work. I've tested my code on the same domain and everything goes fine. That's why I'm trying to troubleshoot the problem! Have you tested your code from other
domain and still be able to use "membership" from its LDAP connection? Thanks in advance!

hhmm... it does sound like the other domain doesn't trust the domain you're in. And just to make sure, the AD you're trying to connect to is in the domain you're in??
Anyway, my situation is opposite from your's. In my other domain trusts the domain I'm in and not the other way around. So when I publish to the other domain it works. but when I test in my current domain, it gives me the "cannot make a secure connection"
I don't use membership (coz mine's just a simple application and i use the AD for password storage) so I can't really confirm that part... but everything that I've implemented so far works okay (after the pain of debugging).

Hi! The AD that I'm trying to connect is not in the domain (my testing site). They are simply two different domains with no trust. How do I set up the trust between the two domains? Any ideas! Thanks!
