I'm using Classifieds starter kit. How to access the Admin part? What is the username and password that I should use there? And where is that username and password being stored. In web.config or database?

There is no admin user / pass.
If you are running locally then use the ASP.NET Configuration tool that comes with Visual Studio. (in your visual studio toolbar Website -> ASP.NET Configuration) then assign the Administrator role to your account.
If you hosted the website already then you can download the Users.aspx/cs vb page that allows you do that.. ( I cant remember the link where you get that but somebody else might..Daniel maybe? :) )
You can also do it manually in the database by inserting a row in the
aspnet_UsersInRoles table and you can get the UserId value from the
aspnet_Users Table and the RoleId from the

Hey Achutha ,
Actually, Ash is correct, I do still have the link.
To set yourself as admin all you have to do is follow this link
http://forums.asp.net/t/1110595.aspx (the link to the users.aspx file it at the bottom of the first post)
unzip it and upload the two files to your website, in the main folder where anyone can access it.
(Technically it is in C#, and I use VB but it seems to work fine anyway, so I would just leave the code alone.)
Create yourself a login through your website, just like any user of your site.
Then point to your browser to the users.aspx file, and set your Id as administrator.
Then delete or move the two users files to a protected part of the website, such as Admin folder.

In Classifieds Starter kit, the admin will have the rights to edit, delete, change settings, etc etc. He will have the full rights to control the website. When I executed first, I was able to Register and post ads(local system itself). I was not able to
change the settings (admin rights). So I set the admin username and password in "ASP.NET Configuration". There I created one account with admin rights and I was able to log in as an Administrator.
Thanks for your useful replies. It was really helpful!!!
