I am creating an image, and for part of it I have to write words on it with the DrawString method.
I'm running into a problem however because it seems that I can only use fonts which are members of font-families. Is there any way to use a font which isn't part of a font-family?
Thanks in advance,

What font are you trying to use? I don't know if this is any help, but heres an example of how I use DrawString
Dim objFont As New Font("Verdana", 10, FontStyle.Bold)
objGraphics.DrawString("Test Text", objFont, Brushes.White, 0, 0)

I'm having problems with the Univers Open Type font from Adobe, and also with a font called Sloop ScriptOne.
I do the same thing to specify the font for my DrawString method, I'm just trying to figure out if there is another way to do it.

Unfortunately it's not possible to use OpenType fonts with GDI+ ... see for example

Thanks for the heads up. I ended up just buying the TrueType version of the fonts.
