My environment is HMC 3.5 and Exchange Server 2003 SP2. I am using the MPSSampleWeb interface with HMC as we do all the account setup and provisioning internally.
I have a customer that has several domains for which he wants to recieve mail into the mailboxes of a single primary domain. E.g.:
firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com all deliver to
So I logged in to the interface and under the Exchange Hosting tab, went to the Manage SMTP Domains page and added all the secondary SMTP domains. They result was that a new recipient policy was created on the Exchange server for each of the new secondary
domains that I added. But, referring to my example, mail to
firstname.lastname@example.org is being rejected by the Exchange server saying that the user is unknown...
I have seen several posts about recipient policies on here but none seem to be directly applicable. And I looked at KB921101 and even installed the hotfix related to this KB to no avail...
Really need to get this working!
Thanks much in advance.

Did you assign new SMTP proxy address email@example.com to existing account

No, I did not. That was the issue. I had just assumed that adding the additional domains as secondary would automagically make them proxy addresses. Guess not! :) Thanks so much!!!

This link seems to just refer back to my post? Would not want to be missing a pearl of HMC wisdom here! [:D]
