Im not sure if anyone can assist - but I am sitting with a real problem....
I have taken over a previous programmers position and have been thrown in the deep end....
If I change anything within the front-end... eg. The Html Section of a .aspx page.... then the changes are seen once copied over to our server..... but If I change anything in the Back-end section eg. a aspx.vb page..... then NONE of the changes are seen
once saved and copied over to our server...
Has anyone ever had this problem ? To possibly assist me ?
This is hanging up my production time and does not make a good impression....
If no-one can assist ..... is it possible to put the Coding with-in the asp.net section in the Html page of the .aspx page?
For example, put the following code within a <tr> table...... </tr> ?
lb.Text = "<span><img src='assets/images/arrow.gif' border=0><a class=stext href=""story.aspx?s=" & ds.Tables(0).Rows(0).Item("makeid") & """ class=dec><b>" & ds.Tables(0).Rows(0).Item("Make") & "News" & "</b></a></span>

How have you re-deployed the changes? You will need to make sure that you have built the site once you made changes and copied the bin folder across as well.

Well What I normally do - Is once I have done the changes, I save the program and copy the page(With the changes done) over to my server.... I have now copied over the Bin folder... but yet, there are no changes..... Do I need to "Build" the application
or something before copying it over...... Im not sure, as I use to work on vs.net 2005 and now Im struggling to get this code to "Register" when I run it ......
Inside the bin folder were .dll and . pdb files.....
Any other suggestions?

By doing the following:
1. Published the application which then gave me a debug error.
2. Set the debug value in the web.config to true
3. Tried to publish again - and all was working. All changes are now visible.
Thank you for the assistance anyhow.
Have a great day!
