For a solution at work we are using the WDP to compile the ASP.Net project for easy release.
We also need to be able to update the project after the project has been released which we can do with a standard pre-compiled project.
The way we do with the pre-compiled project is to run al.exe and resgen.exe and then place the file in the right project.
However this method does not work with WDP and I was wondering what needs to be done to allow this to work.
We have set in the Output assemblies that we merge each individual folder output to it's own assembly with no optional assembly prefix.
We are using the App_GlobalResources folder of doing the translations.
What am I missing out to allow this solution to work?

It is possible for you to update the released project using WDP/aspnet_merge.
Are you running into specific problems? It is not clear to me what you are using al.exe and resgen.exe for.

The idea is to have language files update after on a live site. So after the compile and the install we then leave the site to the users and they can change a resx file and then using al.exe and resgen.exe can compile it into a new language dll.
The Issue I am encountering is that once the language dll has been created and put in the right folder the site no longer displays in that language.
So What I need to know is how to create a language file so that it will work with my site after the initial compile.
