It's probably a simple mistake I'm making but I'm not able to open an asp file on internet explorer.
When I try that ie pops up a file transfer window asking me if I want to open or keep the asp file.
If I answer "open" it actually opens the file with Dreamweaver where I've orginaly created it.
How can I solve this?
I'm using Windows Vista Home Edition and Dreamweaver 8.

In order for your asp.net application to run, you need to run it from a box that has IIS installed and also has the .NET Framework installed.

Can you not right click on the file and select 'Open With' and then choose Internet Explorer?

I have both instaled.
IIS and .NET framework.
I also have my site defined on IIS and I've checked and have .NET Framework 3.0 activated.
Please more ideas are welcome.

Yes I can right click on the file and select Internet Explorer but the problem remains.
It opens a popup window asking me if I want to keep or open the file. If I answer "open" it open Dreamweaver to edit the file and does not open the file on IE.
I hope it's clear now.
Can you help?

you need to access the .aspx file via a url when opening with the web browser
if you open from a file path, then the file does not get processed by the framework.

Thank you very much
I solve this problem but another one came out.
I have IIS site called simcin and when I opened
http://localhost/simcin it open a frameset where on the main frame it should open an asp file but gives back the error HTTP 500.
I think it must be an wrong ASP parameter on the IIS site definition.
I'll apreciate your help once more.

I have been running in to the problem also, but I am not developing any content on my system, it is just browsing on the web, had to switch to a new browser because of it. I have tried uninstalling dreamweaver, also reloading .net, IIS, I am completly out
of options as far as i can tell.
Any ideas floating out there?
