hello all. my IIS account is
i can not see files on other networks in the office. I would like my asp.net code to access a MDB located on serverZ
my webpages always says "serverZ does not exist"
what can i do about this and how?
is it a problem if i no not have a IUSR_ComputerName account ? when i look under the IIS account ..i do not see it

The IIS user is similarish to the system user in that it is not by default allowed to get off the box that it is on (or at least that's kinda the idea).
The best way to get to the other files is by impersonation. So setup a limited user on the server you are running from and the from you code impersonate that user and you should be able to get to the files you need,

thanks. i did that in my web.config file. i put the admin user name and password in it..no luck
