I'll soon be starting to create an online business directory and am considering using this starter kit as the basis.
I'm assuming that these kits are in the public domain and free to use for commercial purposes?
Also, could anyone direct me to some good examples of sites that are based on this starter kit?

check out "test.cushingshops.com" (copy and paste without the quotes, to your browser)
Also, you need to re-do ALL .jpg and .gif files, and keep the original eula file as part of your package, and you cannot use the Microsoft logo or name. Otherwise, you are free to charge money for your work, based on this starter kit.

You can use the starter kit for any use you see fit, just keep in mind it is a starter kit.
It's up to you the developer to make it your own.
I've put a ton of work into mine which is www.detelli.com I think you will find the many changes I made of great improvement.
And this forum is great for solving problems when you get stuck.
Good Luck on your project.

I've merged the classifieds kit with v3Beta1 of the Club kit (Zebu-Cattle-for-Sale.INFO). I've made a lot of modifications and still have a lot more that I want to do. It gives you an idea of some of the
things you can do to extend the kits. Good luck.
