I am attempting to install both HMC 4.0 and Windows-based hosting 4.5. I am attempting to complete Procedure DWSPV.40 but on Step 5 it refers to a "Requirements Status -> Web Services -> Business Web Services" entry in the tree. I do not have that entry.
My root level entries are:
Customer Directory Integration
Hosted Active Directory
MPS Web Service Servers
MPS Web Services
SharePoint Services Hosting
Any ideas? Is the idea of combining HMC 4.0 and Windows-based hosting a bad one? If so, what's the correct approach. I'm guessing that I either missing a part of the tool itself, or that the (database?) that populates the list of requirements status only
has the HMC stuff and not Windows-based hosting. I'm not sure how to resolve the issue.

The HMC 4 and WbH 4.5 will not work, trying to combine these will result in errors in the deployment tool, MSIs will not properly install if you try to do it manually and some the xml's in WbH will not work with HMC4. Also, you cannot use the MPSSampleCP
provided with Wbh on the HMC4 platform or vice versa.
Your best bet is to install the data and web components that is included with the deployment tool for HMC4. Here are some high level steps:
- Install HMC4 according to the documentation.
- Once you've installed HMC4 completely, use the deployment tool and 'install all in this group' for Data and Web hosting (you don't have to have any web or data servers configured for this).
- Install the Web01 and the SQL01 according to the WbH4.5 documentation.
- You can use the provisioning UI to provision resellers, customers, exchange, and wss. You'll have to use provtest to provision websites, ftp, and the databases. Read the documentation good for Wbh 4.5. like Addserver.xml, addserverclasses.xml etc.
