OK - here's the situation - I want my namespace to be:
I want my custom web control to be called:
MyControl (myControl.dll, or MyCompanyName.Controls.MyControl.dll - whatever
Then, when I declare it in the project, it will be like this:
Dim ctl as new MyCompanyName.Controls.MyControl
However, after putting:
in the assembly name box of the Application Tab (MyProject)
in the Root Namespace textbox, the only way to get it in code is:
Dim ctl as new MyCompanyName.Controls.MyCompanyName.Controls.MyControl
where am I going wrong?

Have you checked with AssembleyInfo.vb file?
what is ur AssemblyTitle?

It's listed as:
I've even changed the top line to just :
I still get:
dim myCtrl as new MyCompany.Controls.MyControlName.MyCompany.Controls.MyControlName.MyControlName
At this point, I need to find out what is correct?
I'm totally lost here.

Dim myctrl as New UrControlClass

Then, nothing changed -
I had Dim ctrl as new - - -
and it gave me :
Never, in the list, until it was available at the end, did it give me an availability of 'MyControlName'
