working on a server side service right now that gets a cascading folder/file list and returns these items...
Folder3/subFolder3/New Text Document.txt

Since you are already looping through DirectoryInfo.Files, which is a collection of FileInfo, it is very easy to get the date you want from that.
foreach (FileInfo file in dir.Files)
string path = file.FullName;
string created = file.CreationTime.ToString();

That would work, but I am not using the file system object. It's a response stream from an FTP site so what comes back looks something like this ....

I've got it to work finally. I think I'm going to write up an article on the codeproject tonight -- I am that happy with the result. The explination will be within there. Basically it gets the a "base directory" then explodes to get any and all files/folders
within those directories. There's a class that keeps all of this info and it returns and "FTPObject" (either file or directory) with properties you'd expect (createddate, file size, etc).
Anyway, I'll post up a link once its done.
