when i install MPS webservices into MPS server use Deployment Tool,it will report this error:
Exception: Microsoft.Provisioning.DeploymentTool.Engine.DeploymentExceptionDeploymentFailed
Message: Deployment interrupted because of a failure. See inner exception.
Exception: System.Exception
Message: MSI log returned non-zero error code 1603
The MPS web services are designed to be installed on a different server than the MPS engine (especially if you have multiple MPS engine, it will allow (through the MPFClient) to load balance between the two engine servers. You don't have a provisioning frontend
server in your environment?
Can you provide the error details (different tab in Deployment tool) ?
Regards,
Samuel

It would be useful to have a look at the log of the failed installation. In the deployment tool, if you click on the "Action History" tab, you will see of list of components which were installed. Find the one which failed (should be the last one), double-click
on it and you will see the installation log.

Samuel
