It is really depend on your TextBox skin is global or id base?
Global TextBox Skin:
<asp:TextBox runat="server" style="background-color:#C0C0C0"></asp:TextBox>
This is apply to all textbox in your webpage, you do not need to do anything in code-behind as all TextBox will have same skin
SkinID TextBox Skin:
<asp:TextBox skinid="BoldText" runat="server" style="font-weight:bold"></asp:TextBox>
This will apply to the textbox where skinid is define, Code behind set skinID
Hope this is help!
