Have you set up the database in SQL Server 2000? If not, follow these steps:
1. Create a new database
2. Install the security schema into this database by running the aspnet_regsql.exe wizard
3. Run the SQL install script against the database (called timetracker_add.sql in the APP_Data folder)
Then change the connection details in your web.config file to connect to the SQL Server database. The connection string will look like this, if you're not using integrated security. If you are using Integrated Security, replace the User ID and Password details
with Integrated Security = True

Check in web.config for connectionString, configure it according to your server name, password etc.
In Time Tracking System, it uses inbuild Membership classes for user creation, updation etc..
You have to register your DB with ASP.NET Membership classes by executing the command line utility in VS prompt
aspnet_regsql, it will open one window, where you have to configure DB.
Hope it will help you, let me know.
