I am trying to host a website and I am using a version of IIS on XP. Should I be using Server version of IIS for ASP.NET 2.0 C# webhosting? Please help me. I already have a web space for the site.

You can use XP to develop and test your site, but you can't really use it for hosting as the version of IIS on XP is restricted. It only allows one site to be run and limits inbound connections to 10. So, yes, you should be using a proper server with IIS
and the dotnet framework installed.

If you're hosting for a local site for like an Intranet, XP Pro should be fine. However, don't expect the same power as Windows 2000 or 2003. If it's an Internet site, try to get Windows 2003. Very nice and easy to configure...much more secure than 2000.
Thus far, I've never had a problem with 2003.
