I have a strange problem. I am incorporating an iframe with an html table from another organisation on my web site. They and I live in Sweden and our web sites reside on Swedish servers, with what I can understand correctly set language specifications (including
å, ä, and ö). However, when I go to my web page, the Swedish letters are replaced with squares (i.e., characters missing). BUT then, when I click a menu heading in the iframe's table to sort it differently (as with a gridview), not only it becomes sorted,
but the letters also show correctly!!!
I am indeed very puzzled!
I have spoken to the other organisation but they say nothing's wrong on their part, and they use asp.net as well. It also works correctly on our old web site (in asp) and when I click View Source I get the correct letters in Notepad. I guess that in the
future they will create a web service and then this problem will be gone, but I need to fix it somehow for the time being. I thought of somehow re-sort the iframe's table when the page is loaded, but don't know how or if it would solve my problem.
