we were asked to host some applications for our customer. I want to use Windows TS 2003.
Does anybody know how we have to license the TS and install the TS in our environment. We are SPLA-Partner, does we have to ask our SPLA-Reseller for TS Licensing?
Does anybody have some document for hosting applications with TS?
Thanks for your help and replies.

Providers that have an active Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA):
1) Report Terminal Serivces usage each month for each user that has access to the servers in Application Mode. They also report Authenticated Windows usage (90% of the time with Windows SALS)
2) Can disable Terminal Services Licensing Manger so they never run out of User licenses. Please send an email to
email@example.com requesting TS Licensing instructions for SPLA partners. (essentially the license manager wizard recognises SPLA agreement #'s and does it's magic). The Instructions are also avaiable on the

thanks for your answer. I was wondering because I dont get any automated mail that someone answered my post - I have to check this. :-)
Anyway, we have an active SPLA.
1.) We have to report only TS CALs?
Thanks for your help.

SPLA licensees report Terminal Services Subscriber Licenses (SALs) with a matching Windows SAL.
Always report these pair of SKUs. Terminal Services in application mode is an "authenticated" scenario.
