I have just started out with ASP.net programming and had it all running well on my Vista development PC.
I am now trying to copy the site over to IIS on a Windows Server 2003 machine and am having no joy! I have looked for documentation to set-up the server but there seems to be very little about!
I have installed ASP.NET and IIS from the Add/Remove Components, also installed the AJAX Extensions, granted permissions on the relenat wwwroot directory to give full control to ASPNET user, installed FrontPage extensions but still when I right click on
default.aspx in IIS and select browse I get "Page cannot be found"...
...any ideas as I am tearing my hair out!!![:@]

Did you configure the directory to be a website in IIS manager?

Did you set the ASP.NET tab to the right version of .net your website is in? Did you set the Application Settings correctly? Usually, those are the two main culprits. BTW, from what I've found if you're hosting both .net 1.1 and 2.0 websites, you'll need
a sepatate AppPool for each.
