I have a couple of issues with VS 2003/1.1 development on a machine. I have no problems working with VS 2005/2.0 on the very same machine. When creating a Web Application on my localhost IIS install, as soon as the WebForm1.aspx is created I get an ExecutionEngineException
in DefaultDomain and the IDE closes.
Thinking that this could be an IDE issue, I attempted to install VS 2003 SP1. When I try that, I get a Fatal Execution Engine Error 0x7925dc14.
I have googled that error and it seems to come up in the context of some other applications and seems to indicate a problem with the .Net Framework v1.1. Any ideas?

Did you tried the above links?

Neither link applies to my issue. I am not using DevPaths or any other AppDomains, and I am not doing any Com Interop.
Also, I have attempted to repair the installation of the .Net 1.1 framework, and in so doing, I had to install a newer version of Windows Installer because mine was broke.
It did not fix the issue.
EDIT: I have also tried to run aspnet_regiis.exe -i with no success.
EDIT: I have tried to run the .Net Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 and get the Fatal Execution Engine Error 0x7925dc14.

Based on my research, the "0x7925dc14" exception probably need reinstall .NET Framework (not repair). Please try to manually remove the Framework and reinstall. To do so, please refer to the link below. I hope it is helpful to you.
Manually remove and then reinstall the .NET Framework 1.1

Thanks Benson. I had found that KB before but was not willing to devote an entire morning to fix the issue. I buckled down and performed all the steps and I am now working.
