I'm new to this forum but have been using asp.net 1.1 since 2003. Needless to say what have a lot of 1.1 apps written. My questions is more basic. I have search this forum about runing both 1.1 and v2 on the same workstation pc and found some info saying
it is fine. I just need some reassurance.
Our plan is to create new apps in 2.0 and eventaully migrate 1.1 over.
So, can I install VS2005 on my XP machine that already has VS2003? and will they remain seperate? I still need to be able to modify and compile 1.1 apps and I don't have a spare pc to install each version.
Any help would be appreicated. Thanx.

Yes, you can have both versions of Visual Studio installed. You can have Visual Studio 6 installed, too, if you wanted.
Anyway, just make sure that if you ever decide to get a new computer and put both versions on it, that you install them in order (i.e. 2003, then 2005). Otherwise help files and/or file extension linking could be unpredictable.
