I am trying to learn what web service in 4.0 has the MPSGeneral Call. I know it still exists, as the Sample UI uses it extensively, but they use some DLL proxy service, and its hidden where it resides.
Also, anyone else notice that not a single Web Service is document in the 4.0 docs? When can we expect a more updated documentation that reflects the new system?

As mentioned earlier.
There is no MPSGeneral WS in HMC 4.0...it simply does not exist...at all. The only way this will exist is if you create one yourself....or unless MS add one to the next release of HMC.
The SampleUI uses the client DLL, which in turn communicates directly with the MPS engine, and does not use a WS. The most likey method of communication between the MPS engine and the client DLL is TCP/IP...but I am not 110% sure on that.
ALL the web services themselves call into the same, or VERY similar, client DLL which communicates with the MPS engine. So the Web Services are an EXTRA teir in the solution.
